Volunteer with Brighton Bear Weekend
Brighton Bear Weekend is powered by volunteers. From helping set up Dorset Gardens to fundraising, welcoming visitors, supporting events and keeping the weekend running smoothly, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people, build connections and be part of something that supports Brighton’s LGBTQ+ community.
Whether you’ve been attended BBW before, volunteered with us in previous editions or this would be your first time, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need previous experience, just a friendly attitude, a bit of community spirit and a willingness to get stuck in.
Volunteer roles include event set-up, general support, fundraising, merchandise support, visitor welcome and event pack-down.
Our team of volunteers will be offered training opportunities, a personalised crew T-shirt, a few perks like a free BBW wristband for weekend discounts, and the chance to be part of the team behind the event. Some additional perks, including volunteer thank-you activities, will be confirmed closer to the weekend.
