Are you interested in helping out with an academic research project into the bear community? Dr Nick McGlynn from the University of Brighton will be conducting a focus group during Brighton Bear Weekend, and is looking for volunteers for this group discussion in an informal environment.
Dr McGlynn’s Bearspace project concerns “an unexplored intersection of geographies of sexualities, and fatness/obesity” and “aims to uncover the role of geography in the marginalisation and/or empowerment of fat gay/bisexual men in the UK”. You can read more about the project here.
If you would like to take part, please come to the Camelford Arms at 11:00 am on Saturday 15 June. The session will last for approximately 90 minutes.
