It is with great sadness that we learned today of the passing of our very own Mx. Brighton Bear 2021, Antoni Fletcher-Goldspink.
Andrew was a contestant in last years’ Mr Brighton Bear competition and was leading the voting at the time they had to pull out due to their cancer diagnoses. As a non-binary bear Antoni not only embodied our values as an inclusive organisation, but also demonstrated how to live life to the fullest. They have a special place in our hearts and is sorely missed by the Brighton Bear Weekend production team, all our volunteers and, hundreds of his adoring fans.
We are sure Antoni’s next regeneration will be something even more special. We leave the last words to Antoni by including the responses they gave on their competition entry form last year.
