A Very Beary Christmas 2017

We’re getting together with Brighton’s very own Bear Patrol this winter for our first joint A Very Beary Christmas Facebook event page festival, to be held at various venues around town on the weekend of 9-10 December 2017. The events will include:

  • Our Brighton Bear Christmas Bear-a-oke Facebook event page karaoke evening at Bar Broadway on Saturday 9 December from 7:30 to 10:00pm. Get up on the stage and belt one out! Free entry.
  • Our Brighton Bear Bad Santa Party Facebook event page at Subline on Saturday 9 December from 10:00pm until late. Christmas dress (or undress) highly encouraged – lockers available! Mince pies, lashings of cream and vodka jellies. Enjoy flurries from the snow machine. Cruise in Santa’s grotto. £4 entry for members, £6 for non-members.
  • Bear Patrol’s Christmas Party Facebook event page at the Camelford Arms on Sunday 10 December from 1:00pm onwards. Enjoy one of the Camelford’s legendary huge roast dinners, and win a prize for the best Christmas jumper or other clothing! Free entry.

Our 2018 logo

It’s getting close to that time when we launch our brand new logo for next year, and we are very happy to announce that the Brighton Bear Weekend 2018 logo will be designed by the illustrator Bobo-bear!

His amazing bear-themed t-shirts were a huge hit this year, helped along by his in-store appearance at Prowler Brighton during Brighton Bear Weekend in June, and his t-shirt stall at Brighton Pride in August. We hope to reveal his spanking new logo design during the A Very Beary Christmas weekend in December (see sidebar for details) – check back here soon for details of the time and place!

In the meantime, you can read our interview with Bobo-bear from earlier this year, and check out this Gscene article about him designing our logo.
